MBBS ADMISSION 2020

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, also called NEET-UG, will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on May 3, 2020. Alongside the exam date, NTA has additionally declared the NEET 2020 important dates related to registrations, admit card and result. NEET 2020 application form and authority notification will be released on December 2, 2019. Last date for registering for NEET exam is December 31, 2019.

Through a public interview on October 4, 2019, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, the Minister of Health and Family Welfare, reported that the admission to 1205 AIIMS and 200 JIPMER undergrad (MBBS) seats will be done based on scores acquired in NTA NEET 2020. Therefore, candidates willing for admission to AIIMS and JIPMER institutes will be required to fill NEET application form 2020 before the due date. With this, the boom in the quantity of registrations is expected in NEET academic session 2020-21, to grab a seat in around 76,928 MBBS and 26,949 BDS seats available in 532 medical and 313 dental colleges all over India. A year ago, a sum of 15,19,375 applicants registered for NEET 2019, While, for the year 2018, CBSE saw the registrations of 13,26,725 candidates.

Correction into form details during NEET 2020 Registration

If there should be an occurrence of any discrepancies in the application form of NEET 2020, the authority will open the correction window in second week of January. The medical students can edit/erase/change the predefined fields in the form within the last date. The applications acknowledged by NTA after the completion of correction window, can download NEET admit card 2020 from March 27 and onwards. Exam Pattern: NEET 2020

NEET 2020 question paper will contain as many as 180 multiple choice questions. From the subject including Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany + Zoology). NEET Authority Answer Key will be released in the last week of May to compute the imprints to be scored by candidates. NTA will announce NEET-UG result 2020 by June 4. Only aspirants securing the minimum passing percentile will be considered qualified. NEET 2020 cut-off is the percentile to be secured to qualify the entrance test. NEET 2020 Counseling

Utilizing the passing percentile, the authority will set up the merit list. In view of the All India Rank (AIR) in NEET merit list, qualified students will be called for NEET counseling 2020 procedure for admission to 15% All India Quota (AIQ), 85% State Quota seats, Deemed/Central colleges, private institutes, ESIC and AFMS colleges. Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in the interest of Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) will lead NEET UG counseling for allotment in 15% AIQ seats, all seats from Deemed/Central colleges and other ESIC just as AFMS colleges.

The admission to MBBS and BDS seats through NEET UG will be done based on rank secured, preferences of courses just as colleges, availability of seats, reservation criteria and different factors. While the remaining 85% state portion seats will be respective state counseling committees based on NEET UG scores.

Language for Exam: NEET 2020

NTA (National Testing Agency) has decided that students can write NEET exams in Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Assamese, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Odia, Urdu languages are added to the list so that students can write the exams in ten Indian languages and English. So, in total NEET examination can be given in 11 languages.

The candidates are allowed to give exam in 11 languages. They are as follow as:

Some important points to remember
  • The Candidates are required to choose the medium of question paper at the time of filling up the application form. And once they have chosen the medium of question paper it cannot be changed.
  • The main question paper will be set in English only. All the vernacular/regional questions will be the mere translation of the English question paper.
  • Candidates who have chosen English language would be provided the Test booklet in English only.
  • Candidates who have chosen Hindi language would be provided Bilingual Test Booklet in Hindi as well as in English.
  • Candidates who have chosen vernacular/regional language would be provided Bilingual Test Booklet in selected regional language and English question booklet will also be provided.
  • In case of any ambiguity or doubtfulness in translation of a question in the test paper, its English version shall be treated as final and the decision of NTA shall be final.

NEET 2020 Application Form Submission (Re-opened)

National Testing Agency has re-opened the process of submission of Application Form for the registered candidates. NTA, the conducting body has re-opened the submission portal of application form for the registered candidates from February 3, 2020 to February 9, 2020. This is the last opportunity to submit the application form and complete the process of registration. The candidates can fill the remaining details, upload the scanned images and pay the application fee.

Eventually, NTA has extended the application form filling date from December 31, 2019 to January 6, 2020. NTA has closed the registration fee deposit portal on January 7, 2020. So the candidates, who were unable to deposit the application fees by January 7, 2020, can deposit the application fee from February 3, 2020 to February 9, 2020.

NEET Application Form 2020 – Re-opens

The National Testing Agency has re-opened the fee deposit portal for submission of NEET application fee as the last opportunity. The candidates who have registered for the NEET exam successfully they have been provided with the extra time to complete the application process. Steps to be followed

Step I: Fill the application form and submit it. After the submission of the application form, the candidate gets registered for the NEET exam.

Step II: Fill up the complete information in the Application Form.

Step III: Upload the Scanned images of all the documents required for filling up the Application Form.

Step IV: Payment of Application fee online through Debit card, Credit card. Candidates can pay the fee offline through SBI e-challan to be paid in cash in the nearest SBI branch.

Step V: Print the status of receipt of online application form with fee.

NEET Application form Correction Window: Details

NTA has provided a Correction window for all the applicants to change certain fields after filling up the application form. This Correction Window will be opened in second week of January and remain open for two weeks. NEET 2020 Correction Window (Re-opens)

On March 13, 2020 the National Testing Agency (MHRD, Department of Higher Education, Government of India) has published the notice for the candidates of NEET (UG) 2020. The conducting body has given a last chance to the candidates of NEET for correcting their Application Form. As per the notice candidates can avail the facility of Correction Window from March 13, 2020 to March 19, 2020. The candidates are advised to check their Application Form to avoid any kind of hassle on the examination day.

Earlier, NTA has opened the Correction Window from January 15, 2020 to January 31, 2020. Candidates are allowed to make changes in 5 specified fields of the Application Form. The board has extended the date of online correction in the Application Form. As NTA has announced latest news of NEET 2020 examination, it has bought relief for the candidates who are appearing for NEET 2020. National Testing Agency has allowed the students to make changes in their choice of examination city till April 14, 2020. NTA has decided to further expand the date of making changes or corrections in Application Form via Correction Window. Actually NTA has issued a public notice on 1.04.20 regarding the accessibility of correction facility in the particulars of Online Application Form of NEET UG 2020. Since the entire country is facing hardships due the breakdown of COVID-19. The students requested to extend the date of correction facility to choose the examination city centre which is near to their hometown. So, the students can avoid long distance travel.

NTA Public Notice

There is a scope of changing the examination city centres opted by the applicants of NEET UG 2020. The decision has been taken as precautionary measure and NTA has published a notice on their official website. As per the notice NTA will try to allot the city of examination centre to the candidates of their choices. However, if the availability of examination city centre limit exceeds so the administration is unable to provide the desired examination city to students. Then administration can provide different city to the candidates and further the decision of testing agency would be final.

NTA Public Notice – Exam CentreThe Public Notice issued by NTA states that the candidates can operate the Correction Window till 5 PM of April 14, 2020. And the candidates can submit their fee upto 11.50 PM of April 14, 2020. Candidates are advised to verify their particulars and make necessary changes whenever required. The amount of fees can be paid via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking and PAYTM. Candidates you must correct the necessary fields carefully because may be you can’t get another chance to correct them.

Apart from the changes made in NEET Exam Centres the candidates can also make changes in other fields of their Application Form. There are almost 37 Examination Cities Centres allotted by testing agency for the aspirants who wish to sit for NEET 2020. The examination centre can be changed from the official website of NTA.

Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Minister for Human Resource Development (MHRD) twitted about the extension of making changes in the choice of cities for exam centre. He said, “NEET (UG) 2020 applicants, in the view of current #COVID19 situation, I have advised @DG_NTA to further expand the scope of making corrections in the application forms allowing students to include the choice of cities for centres”.
